Workers Day: NGO Urges Governors To Pay New Minimum Wage For Sake Of National Peace

Comrade Sheriff Mulade, Coordinator of Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice yesterday appealed to governors across Nigeria to try and pay the new minimum wage for the sake of national unity and peace.

Mulade who congratulated workers on May Day, urged all Nigerian Governors to pay the 30 thousand naira minimum wage which he said would go a long way to cushioning the untold hardship confronting Nigerian workers today.

Mulade who is also the Secretary of Egbema and Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation (EGCDF) commended Nigerian workers for their hard work, resilience and doggedness in the discharge of their duties.

While urging workers to be committed, focused and steadfast and shun pleasure while carrying out their official duties, Mulade enjoined Nigerian workers to fight for their rights in all sectors of the nation’s economy to enable them get all-round benefits.
